Last year, the fair had welcomed 40 European and Latin American galleries at London’s Old Truman Brewery during Frieze.
Whilst last year Art 16 — another fair dedicated to middle-market galleries — had announced it would not go ahead with a 2017 edition, Crossroads seemed to have had a successful first run. The fair’s organizers have explained that they prefer postponing Crossroads to next year in order to “keep the quality of the fair high” at a “time of economic uncertainty for emerging and middle-market galleries”.
Among the galleries who had participated in the first edition are Eva Meyer (Paris), Vermelho (Sao Paulo) or Revolver (Lima).
